Danvers, MA, January 14, 2025 — Hancock Associates, a leading provider of land surveying, civil engineering and wetland science services, is pleased to announce that Joseph Levasseur, P.L.S., E.I.T. recently passed the National and State Surveyor Jurisprudence Exams and is now a registered Professional Land Surveyor in Massachusetts and has been promoted to Survey Project Manager
Joe joined Hancock Associates in 2017 as an Instrument Operator and was quickly promoted to Staff Surveyor and then to Project Surveyor. Joe has a broad knowledge of the technical and legal aspects of surveying projects and is responsible for coordinating utility, residential, commercial and municipal projects as well as conducting research and calculations and preparing plans and associated documents. He is also responsible for the CAD operations and G.P.S. automation for the duration of various survey projects. Over the years, Joe has been an integral part of multiple high-profile development projects, a member of Hancock’s Emerging Professionals Group and an excellent mentor to the Staff Surveyors in the firm.
Joe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a Land Surveying Certificate from Wentworth Institute of Technology. He is OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety and Health trained as well. Joe lives in Woburn, Massachusetts
