September 16, 2016, Oregon, USA – Corvallis Microtechnology, Inc. announces that its iCMTGIS PRO mapping and surveying software can now directly interface with the iSXBlue Series GNSS receivers from Geneq, Inc based in Montreal, Canada.
iCMTGIS PRO is a professional app for use on the Apple iPad and iPhone devices. When paired with a high-precision GNSS receiver like Geneq’s iSXBlue II+ GNSS or the recently launched iSXBlue III+ GNSS, an iPhone or iPad device running iCMTGIS PRO becomes part of a truly portable GPS/GIS equipment. This system requires no data plan to operate as a GPS data collector, a geographic mapping tool, and an invaluable aid for locating points of interest and property boundaries. In addition, iCMTGIS PRO comes with a number of essential office software functions, enabling the field crew to do a complete job from recording field data to editing, analyzing and labeling the data then on to printing the finished map to a PDF file.
Geneq Inc. offers a free NTRIP client app for iOS that works with their iSXBlue receivers. Running this iSXBlue RTN app alongside iCMTGIS PRO, the users can obtain cm-accuracy on their iOS device for GPS data collection and surveying employing the network real-time kinematic (RTK) technique. Now that iCMTGIS PRO is able to receive the NMEA message stream from the iSXBlue GNSS receivers, users will be able to see the position data as well as the estimated horizontal and vertical accuracy displayed on its GPS status bar. Thus the users can be assured of accuracy before they record the data.
Geneq Inc. and Corvallis Microtechnology, Inc. have collaborated to provide GPS/GIS solution on various hardware and software platforms to world-wide users in forestry, agriculture, surveying, natural resources and environmental protection since 1998.
