FARO and Riegl hosted events will showcase laser scanning software enabling accurate, trusted digital replicas of as-built assets
Manchester, UK – 6 June 2013: AVEVA announced today that it is exhibiting at events hosted by its laser scanning hardware partners FARO and Riegl. The FARO 3D Documentation User Meeting takes place between 13 – 14 June in Strasbourg, France. Riegl Lidar 2013 takes place between 25 – 27 June 2013 at The Marriott, Vienna, Austria.
At the FARO 3D Documentation User Meeting, AVEVA will showcase its hardware-neutral laser scanning software, including its LFM suite of software that is compatible with third-party 3D design systems. Gary Farrow, VP, 3D Data Capture and Business Management for AVEVA, will present the use of FARO Focus 3D data with LFM and AVEVA Everything3D for plant applications.
At the Riegl Lidar event, AVEVA will showcase its latest solutions for exploiting the value of 3D laser survey data, including the new LFM Operating Modes software. This brand-new product integrates the laser scan data preparation tasks into a simple workflow that enables maximum productivity and flexibility.
“We work closely with our industry partners, like FARO and Riegl, to deliver seamless integration between our software and their hardware,” said Mr. Farrow. “As laser scanning becomes ever more affordable it creates opportunities that were previously uneconomical, such as the creation of accurate, trusted digital replicas of as-built assets that offer considerable operational savings and benefits across the lifecycle. We look forward to these two events that will provide us with a good opportunity to showcase our hardware-neutral software.”
