Zurich, Switzerland —September 19, 2024— Wingtra, a leading provider of aerial insight solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bryn Fosburgh as an independent board member. With a distinguished career in the surveying, construction, and mining industry and significant experience across various leadership roles, Fosburgh will guide Wingtra in the continuous streamlining of its aerial data workflow as well as partnership and marketing strategies to ensure maximum adoption. His contributions are set to advance Wingtra and positively impact all industries relying on fast and precise GIS information.
Fosburgh most recently served as senior vice president and direct adviser to the CEO of Trimble, where he built up 30 years of expertise. Prior to this, he worked nearly 10 years in the federal and state government at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Defense Mapping Agency.
A thought leader in the geospatial industry, Fosburgh is currently the President of the World Geospatial Industry Council (WGIC) and the Foundation President of the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG Foundation). He currently sits on the Board of Directors at sumuwatt and has also held notable positions as a Board member of Woolpert and several innovative startups.
Since the very start of his career, Fosburgh has displayed passion and dedication to understanding the technicalities behind the built world. After pursuing a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay, he earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering at Purdue University, where he was awarded the civil engineering alumni achievement award and inducted into the Association of Equipment Manufacturers Hall of Fame.
