Trimble is pleased to announce it is the science and technology category winner in Fast Company’s 2024 Best Workplaces for Innovators list and ranks #3 overall out of the top 100. The annual list honors organizations and businesses that demonstrate an inspiring commitment to encourage and develop innovation at all levels. Trimble was also named a finalist in the large companies category, honoring companies with 1,000+ employees.
The 2024 Best Workplaces for Innovators list ranks 100 winners from a variety of industries, including entertainment, biotech, consumer packaged goods, marketing, education, healthcare and others. Now in its sixth year, the list celebrates company cultures that empower employees at all levels to improve processes, create new products, or invent new ways of doing business. Trimble’s commitment to innovation is all-encompassing, from research and development spending to workshops that help every employee understand how to take an idea from concept to market.

Trimble holds more than 1,000 unique active patents and, in 2023 alone, invested more than $660 million in R&D. In 2023, the company launched a $200 million venture fund, Trimble Ventures, that today includes five direct investments focused on early and growth stage companies with the potential for technology-enabled innovation and disruption. Trimble’s quarterly Technical Innovation Award celebrates innovative projects across the company and was most recently awarded to a UCLA student and Trimble intern Jiaqi Li, and her teammates, Sumana Rao and Steve Osborn, for the development of a generative AI tool.
