Notice Advisory to NAVSTAR Users (NANU) 2020011

The US Space Force Second Space Operations Squadron (2 SOPS) has issued a LAUNCH NANU for SVN-75, the second of the new generation of GPS-III satellites. To clear up any confusion this may have caused, SVN-75 was launched on 22 August of 2019, JDAY 234 2019, but there is no provision in a strictly formatted LAUNCH NANU to list a previous year. This satellite was launched outside of the GPS Ground Control Segment and has been under the operational control of the vehicle developer.  Having successfully undergone rigorous operational testing on orbit, SVN-75/PRN-18 is now being passed to 2 SOPS to begin testing for insertion into the active GPS constellation. A LAUNCH NANU is required to initialize a GPS satellite’s service in the Space Force.
