Fairfax, VA—December 13, 2019 – Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, announced that it has been selected by the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) in Seguin, Texas, to provide asset management services for its various system domains in order to implement a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) in 2020. The firm’s geospatial and technology services group will conduct the analysis for all GBRA counties, including Kendall, Comal, Hays, Caldwell, Guadalupe, Gonzales, DeWitt, Victoria, Calhoun, and Refugio.
In an effort to support the program, GBRA is utilizing ArcGIS software to bring reliable geographic information online in a secure environment. This new environment will serve as the asset inventory system of record and include geospatial datasets and geometric networks of linear assets within the wastewater collection and water distribution systems that are owned and/or operated by GBRA.
GBRA’s system domains include water transmission, water distribution, and wastewater collection. The systems are located throughout the Guadalupe River Basin, which is northeast of San Antonio. The firm will review existing data to see if it can be made spatially accurate with populated attributes, and then determine if it needs to be re-digitized.
