Amsterdam, 13 March 2019 – From 8 to 10 April, the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre will host the third edition of the Commercial UAV Expo Europe, the leading European trade fair and conference on the commercial use of drones. The fair is a mecca for professionals in the drone sector who come to view and discuss the newest applications and innovations in the sector.
Commercial UAV Expo Europe focuses on drone solutions for a wide range of sectors including construction, energy & utilities, surveying & mapping, agriculture & forestry, infrastructure & transport, safety & security, and emergency relief services.
Competition
The trade fair programme includes the Drone Hero Europe Contest, an international competition open to companies, organisations, and individuals who prepare and submit a business case for a drone application. The competitors this year include a Dutch company that generates wind energy with the help of a drone flying at a great height.
Various live demonstrations with drones inside enclosures are on the programme as well as a great many presentations and workshops. In addition, the results will be announced of research into the drone market in its current form and how the market is expected to develop further in the coming years. Over one thousand visitors are expected to visit the UAV Expo, and over 50 companies will be exhibiting.
Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre is hosting a leading drone fair for the second time in a few months. With Amsterdam Drone Week just behind us (26-30 November 2018) and the upcoming Commercial UAV Expo, Amsterdam is emerging as the knowledge centre for drones in Europe.
