San Diego, CA – Juniper Systems is headed to the Esri User Conference held June 27–July 1 to discuss rugged data collection and GIS solutions with geospatial professionals from around the world. Juniper Systems will also be exhibiting their new real-time, sub-meter GPS receiver, the Geode™, along with the Mesa 2 Rugged Tablet™, their new ultra-rugged, Windows 10 data collector.
Only recently announced, the new Geode provides users with real-time, sub-meter GNSS data at an affordable price. This all-in-one device was designed for ease-of-use, employing one-button simplicity, and is compatible with a wide range of Windows®, Windows Mobile, and Android® devices, making it especially useful for bring-your-own-device workplaces. Small and compact, the Geode may easily be carried by hand, in a pack, or mounted on a pole to meet the individual needs of each user.
Like other Juniper Systems’ devices, the Geode is built to withstand extreme environments, with an impressive IP68 rating—meaning that it’s completely protected against dust and water. The device also boasts all-day battery power for minimal downtime.
Also on display at the show will be Juniper Systems’ recently released Mesa 2 Rugged Tablet, the company’s first Windows 10 device. The Mesa 2 features a 7-inch Illumiview™ display, which provides outstanding visibility in bright sunlight, extra-long battery life for long working hours, protection against dust, water, and accidental drops, and a built-in GNSS receiver for collecting location data. When used alongside the Geode, the Mesa 2 can easily collect real-time, sub-meter GNSS data, for users who need a higher level of accuracy.
“Juniper Systems’ products are designed to reliably collect data in any environment,” said Debbie Trolson, Geomatics Market Manager at Juniper Systems. “Whether users need a GNSS solution that provides 2–5 meter accuracy, or one that provides even more precise, sub-meter accuracy, Juniper Systems can deliver a high-quality solution that enhances both productivity and data integrity.”
