A. John Lloyd Honored by the Maine Society of Land Surveyors for His Long-standing Dedication to His Profession

Worcester, MA – April 6, 2016- A. John Lloyd, PLS, the Regional Office Manager in Worcester for DGT Survey Group, was named the “2016 Surveyor of the Year” by the Maine Society of Land Surveyors at their annual conference in Portland, Maine. To become Surveyor of the Year, the successful candidate must be an active professional who is working for the promotion and advancement of the surveying profession in Maine.
 
Mr. Lloyd was honored for his dedication to surveying in Maine, as well as his commitment to the profession nationally serving as a Director with the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) since 2010. Mr. Lloyd is a Past-President of the Maine Society of Land Surveyors and currently serves as Chairperson of the Scholarship Committee, leading the effort to raise and distribute funds to deserving students studying surveying and engineering.
 
DGT Survey Group, a 50-person surveying and engineering firm with offices in Boston, Worcester, Framingham and Newburyport, was founded in 1997 and is one of the largest and most well-respected surveying firms in Massachusetts.

 As Worcester Regional Office Manager for DGT Survey Group, Lloyd’s duties include management of operations for the firm’s projects in central and western Massachusetts and throughout Rhode Island.

In addition to his professional duties, John Lloyd is also very active in the community. He is active in many local organizations and currently serves as both a coach and a board member with the Shrewsbury Youth Hockey Association. He, his wife, Jocelyn, and their two children live in Sterling.
