Virginia Association of Surveyors Unveils New Logo

Reston, VA, January 15, 2016 – The Virginia Association of Surveyors (VAS) today unveiled its new logo. In a video presentation, VAS President David Gardy and incoming President Michael Starling introduced the membership to the new branding.

The VAS Board of Directors was presented with over a dozen professionally developed logos. After careful consideration, they narrowed the field to three. The Board then presented the three finalists to the membership for a vote.

"The new Virginia Association of Surveyors logo is fresh and forward-thinking," said VAS incoming President Michael Starling. "It’s the perfect marriage between tradition and new endeavors, and the past and future of the Virginia Association of Surveyors."

"The new logo is just the first step towards improving the Virginia Association of Surveyors," said President David Gardy. "We’re moving our profession and the VAS into the 21st Century with a new logo, a new website and a new sense of purpose."
The new logo will be on display at the 68th Annual General Membership Meeting and Convention to be held January 21-23, 2016 at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott in Norfolk, Virginia. For more information on the convention, go to http://www.vasurveyors.org/2016Winter.shtml.
