McKim & Creed Ranked Among Top 50 Trenchless Design Firms in U.S.

Raleigh, NC—Raleigh-based McKim & Creed, Inc. has been named one of the top 50 trenchless design firms in the U.S. for the second year in a row by Trenchless Technology magazine.

Trenchless Technology is a leading publication covering the trenchless technology marketplace. In its annual Top 50 listing, the publication ranks companies based on their reported North American trenchless project billings. For 2015, McKim & Creed ranked #29 among the top 50 firms, performing nearly 400 projects in 2014 that involved horizontal directional drill, sanitary sewer evaluations studies and subsurface utility engineering.

The magazine also included a trenchless engineering Q&A article featuring six design principals including McKim & Creed President and CEO John T. Lucey, Jr., PE. The trenchless design professionals answered questions about the use of design-build, staying current with the latest technologies, and competition within the industry.

McKim & Creed has won several awards for its trenchless work, including an Engineering Excellence Honors Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of North Carolina for a 30-inch water main installation under the Catawba River, and a Project of the Year Award presented by the American Public Works Association, Florida Chapter for a subaqueous horizontal design drill project that protected environmentally sensitive areas in the Florida Keys.
