Sunnyvale, Calif., Dec. 8, 2014—Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) introduced today the new generation Spectra Precision® LL300S Laser Level. The LL300S is a ruggedized, fully automatic, self-leveling laser level designed for a wide range of general construction, concrete and site preparation applications including general elevation control, leveling forms and footers, concrete pours, excavations and basic slopes.
With its new design, the LL300S sets a new standard in ruggedness. Featuring a glass lighthouse, the LL300S offers an IP66 environmental protection rating, which allows operation in adverse environmental conditions, even heavy rain. With a metal sunshade and tough composite material housing, the laser can withstand drops of up to 3 feet (1 meter) onto concrete and tripod tip-overs up to 5 feet (1.5 meters), which can result in reduced downtime and lower repair costs. Even in the toughest jobsite conditions, the LL300S delivers reliable and accurate performance to increase overall productivity and cost-savings.
The LL300S Laser Level also features a simple keypad for a wider range of applications. The arrow buttons on the laser keypad offer easy grade matching in single-axis slope mode with a controlled slope setup using the HI-alert function. The accuracy and performance of the LL300S is typically 1.5 millimeters @ 30 meters (1/16 inch @ 100 feet) with a working range of 800 meters (2,600 feet) in diameter.
The optional Radio Remote Control RC402N enables additional performance features and makes slope matching a single-person operation. The Radio Remote Control can operate at a maximum range of 100 meters (330 feet).
Contractors can configure the LL300S to fit their requirements. A variety of packages are available with a choice of receiver and accessories, including a tripod and grade rod that can fit in a system case.
The Spectra Precision LL300S is expected to be available in early January 2015 through the Spectra Precision Dealer Network.
