SPAR Europe 3D Measurement & Imaging Conference 2014 Programme Posted

Full Schedule, Presenters and Abstracts Available Online

16 September 2014 (Portland, Maine, USA) – The SPAR Europe 3D Measurement & Imaging Conference 2014 Programme has been posted online, event organizer SPAR Point Group announced. The 2014 SPAR Europe Programme contains full abstracts and presenter bios for the more than 30 presentations that comprise this year’s programme. The event will take place 8-10 December at the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam (PTA) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

“The technology-agnostic programme focuses on business and technology considerations for surveyors, AEC/EPC professionals and asset owners implementing 3D solutions,” said Lisa Murray, Event Director. “Presentations address key issues in 3D data capture, processing and visualization that professionals need to keep pace in an ever-changing landscape of tools and operational needs.”

The 2014 SPAR Europe Advisory Board vetted all the abstracts to arrive at the varied, high-quality and topical programme. “From Unmanned Aerial Systems and low cost scanning devices to top of the line HDS scanners, the programme contains critical, actionable information for anyone involved in capturing and actualizing 3D data including BIM, Operations & Maintenance, Engineering Management and New Construction,” said Ms. Murray.

“The more than 30 presenters on the programme are true experts in their respective fields,” said Ms. Murray. “As changes in 3D markets are taking place daily, we look forward to the exchange of best practices and learning about new techniques among speakers, attendees and exhibitors.” She added that many of the solutions discussed during the programme will be on display in the exhibit hall, giving attendees the opportunity to further explore the many available options for data capture, processing and delivery.

“We are also very excited about the Keynotes our programme manager Linda McLaughlin has secured to date,” said Ms. Murray. Valentijn de Leeuw, Vice President, ARC Advisory Group presentation is entitled “State of the Market: 3D Measurement.” Peter van Blyenburgh, President, Unmanned Vehicle Systems (UVS) International keynote is “RPAS : The Current Status Regarding Civil Operations.”

Early-bird registration ends 31 October. “We encourage interested parties to register early to save as much as €200,” said Ms. Murray. Registration is available online here.
