Topcon Scanning Expert to Speak to Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors

Livermore, Calif. – Friday, May 3, 2013 – Topcon Positioning Systems’ national sales manager for scanning products, Brad Burgess, will speak at the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors spring conference, reviewing the benefits, technology and industry applications behind laser scanning. Speaking as part of a panel discussion, Burgess’ presentation – “How to be a better consumer of 3D laser scanning services” – will focus on key issues to consider when soliciting the services of a scanning service provider.

“High definition surveying tools are becoming more prevalent as industry adopters realize the true benefits of 3D laser scanning,” Burgess said. “From as-built surveys in BIM (Building Information Model) applications, to topo surveys and material stockpile measurements, laser scanning technology is becoming a more integral part of today’s surveying workflows, often replacing traditional and more manual methodologies.”

The session is scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Lodge of Four Seasons, Lake Ozark, Missouri. For more information regarding the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors spring workshop visit www.missourisurveyor.org<http://www.missourisurveyor.org>
