Many of you have been asking for a Word version of the revised FEMA Elevation Certificate. One is now available for download from the FEMA website at: http://www.fema.gov/library/viewRecord.do?id=1383.
I asked Wendy Lathrop, our resident FEMA expert if this needed to be publicized and here’s what she said:
Yes, definitely worth publicizing. The PDF only allows printing of a completed form, but does not allow saving a filled in form. This lag between a PDF and a savable format has been a headache nearly every time a new form comes out. This time we had the added aggravation of the first PDF missing many pages. It took ten days for that to be corrected, another six weeks for a form we can fill in and save.
