Wade Trim's Kremers Selected as Florida Section AWWA Region IV Volunteer of the Year

Tampa, Fla. – Wade Trim – a leading water/wastewater, transportation, civil engineering, and planning firm – is pleased to announce that Holly Kremers, PE, a project manager in the Water Resources Group, has recently been named the 2012 Region IV Volunteer of the Year by the Florida Section of the American Water Works Association Florida Section (FSAWWA).

“I am very honored to be selected as the Region IV volunteer of the year,” said Kremers. “FSAWWA has provided me a great social and creative outlet to share my passion for drinking water.  It is an honor to be recognized by water industry leaders for doing something that comes so naturally.”

The FSAWWA Region IV provides local programs and opportunities to water industry professionals in West Central Florida. Kremers chairs the organization’s Water for People Committee, and assists in fundraising events and educational activities. Her efforts for the non-profit, international development organization really make a difference for people in developing countries that are looking to gain access to safe drinking water and sanitation. Kremers also promotes member education locally by coordinating continuing education workshops like their Brackish Water Workshop, which explores the requirements and challenges of using brackish water as a drinking water source.

Dave Slonena, FSAWWA Region IV Chair commented “Holly’s commitment and dedication to Region IV’s educational and charity events has been truly amazing.  She is very deserving of the 2012 Volunteer of the Year Award.”

With more than 12 years of experience, Kremers has worked on a variety of municipal infrastructure projects including water and wastewater distribution, conveyance and treatment facilities. She holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Environmental Engineering and Biological Sciences from Michigan Technological University.

"Holly uses her time and energy to share what she does best: water," said Wade Trim Chief Business Development Officer Tom Brzezinski. "We’re very excited that the FSAWWA honored Holly’s volunteer efforts because when she’s not designing water distribution and treatment facilities, she’s supporting the industry and professional water organizations."
