LFM European User Meeting follows SPAR Europe on November 15
Manchester, UK – 1 November 2012: AVEVA announced today that Wood Group PSN will present a case study, at SPAR Europe, on how it has reduced the need to go offshore by at least 75%, saving time, money and reducing the risk to its employees by optimising its use of 3D scanning software for brownfield oil & gas environments.
Iain Greenhalgh, a representative of WG PSN North Sea Ltd who will present the case study said, “AVEVA solutions, including PDMS, LFM Server and AVEVA Laser Model Interface, have enabled new pipes, steelwork, electrical cable trays and instruments to be engineered within a challenging offshore brownfield environment that was never designed to exceed its 30 year operational life. The software has enabled piping, structural & electrical designers in multiple satellite locations around the world to access as-built platform data without having to leave the office.”
