Sunnyvale, Calif., Sept. 10, 2012—Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) introduced today a new addition to its industry-leading line of laser tools—the Spectra Precision® QM75 Quick Measure distance meter. The handheld laser distance meter can be used in a wide variety of applications and is designed to give contractors a one person distance measuring tool that is easy-to-use, can be carried in a pocket and withstand the rigors of the construction jobsite. The QM75 is the first in a new portfolio of Quick Measure distance measurement tools.
The Spectra Precision QM75 Quick Measure provides a bright, visible laser spot that allows users to safely measure hard-to-reach places, such as high overheads, factory interiors or over water. Simple, quick and reliable measurements are obtained with the press of a button. One person can measure distance with ±1.5 mm (±1/16”) accuracy up to 70 meters (230 feet). Units of measure are selectable and include meters, millimeters and both fractional and decimal feet/inch units. A large liquid crystal display is illuminated for easy viewing in poor light conditions.
The Quick Measure housing is specifically designed with special engineered plastics, rubber overmold and electronics isolation for drop protection—up to 1.5 meters (5 feet) to withstand the typical abuse found on commercial and residential jobsites. The compact size of the Quick Measure makes it easy to store and transport in a pocket.
The QM75 Quick Measure is available now through the Spectra Precision Dealer Network.
