Aurora, Colorado – August 30, 2012 – Merrick & Company’s geospatial solutions group provided aerial mapping services for nine separate highway systems throughout the state of Missouri. Scope included utilizing analytics, planimetric compilation, terrain modeling, orthoimagery, ground surveying, and LiDAR technologies. In conjunction with Midland Surveying, Inc. (Maryville, MO), the Missouri Department of Transportation will take the data Merrick produced and use it for future preliminary highway planning and final engineering design.
Merrick also recently provided light detection and ranging (LiDAR) services for the Illinois Department of Transportation, to support the generation of a high resolution Digital Terrain Models (DTM). The region covered is in Johnson County, IL. The area covered included approximately 737 square miles. The acquired data will be used as base data for regional hydrologic modeling projects and engineering location studies.
