New Offering Helps Organizations Accelerate Business Workflows
Huntsville, Ala., May 30, 2012 – Intergraph®’s GeoMedia® Smart Client takes a starring role at Hexagon 2012, with a number of new hands-on training classes being introduced, as well as break-out sessions and a variety of new vertical market workflow demonstrations. GeoMedia Smart Client enables organizations to geospatially accelerate their business workflows, and eliminates the growing disparity between antiquated GIS products and the needs of today’s geospatial contributors. Hexagon 2012 is being held in the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, June 4-7, 2012.
"We are excited to introduce a number of new GeoMedia Smart Client initiatives at Hexagon 2012, responding to the market’s growing interest in dynamically jumpstarting GIS and engaging a new audience of geospatially aware contributors,” said Mladen Stojic, Vice President – Geospatial, Intergraph. “Several new customers will also be sharing testimonials on this inclusive solution and how it has addressed their organizations’ needs for accessing and using rich geospatial data in their business processes.”
Highlighted below are several of the free training and break-out sessions focused on GeoMedia Smart Client. Enabling Geospatial Enterprise Workflows with GeoMedia Smart Client
Monday, June 4, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Two sessions)
Intergraph’s new GeoMedia Smart Client product provides an answer to a problem that is almost as old as GIS itself, “How can you provide simple-to-use geospatial business workflows to non-GIS experts that are both cost-effective and manageable?” This workshop will cover detailed demonstrations of the product, administration and workflow configuration.
The Smart GIS for a Smarter World
Wednesday, June 6, 3:30 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.
Working in multi-disciplinary environments introduces complex requirements and challenges that many conventional GIS solutions cannot support. While all users in an organization may require access to common data, access to specific records may vary depending on department, role, or geographic jurisdiction. This session will highlight how Intergraph’s software provides a powerful, web-based “smart client” that supports high-end functionality, including vector data capture and editing.
Field Data Collection with GeoMedia Smart Client
Wednesday, June 6, 4:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
GeoMedia Smart Client provides inspection and capture tools in simple-to-use workflows using a server-based web environment product. Users can implement both connected and disconnected workflows to serve field crews with high-speed displays using localized data caching. This session will showcase how users can achieve powerful and efficient field data collection.
Dynamically Jumpstart Your GIS with GeoMedia Smart Client
Thursday, June 7, 1:30 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
The enterprisewide “smart GIS” obliterates the growing disparity between the status quo and what a GIS needs to be. A smart GIS is the perfect GIS, connecting and equipping all users with the power of GIS, breaking down the walls of legacy that have resulted in closed, passive and uninspiring one-dimensional systems. This hands-on workshop will allow users to apply what they have learned about GeoMedia Smart Client during the first two days of the conference.
