Leica Geosystems and John Deere Announce Leica Geosystems Ready Program for J-Series Crawler Dozers

John Deere now offers a Leica Geosystems Ready option on all J-Series Dozers. This initiative delivers the Leica Geosystems Ready Installation Kit for machine control systems pre-installed, streamlining the installation process for dealers, and guaranteeing a quality install for customers.

(Norcross, Ga., 22 March 2012) Leica Geosystems in cooperation with John Deere Construction and Forestry division have announced the Leica Geosystems Ready Program for J-Series Crawler Dozers.  The result is mounting hardware and interface harnesses ordered by John Deere dealers and installed by Paladin Works who have a long standing relationship working with the John Deere Dubuque Works factory.  This is the first such arrangement between John Deere Construction and Forestry and Leica.

"The mechanical portion of a machine control installation has always been the most time consuming and labor intensive portion of an installation," said Leica Geosystems OEM Business Development Manager Nick Guadagnoli, "We are now working with John Deere to drastically simplify the process and make sure John Deere’s customers can get to work much quicker with the best possible equipment."

The program is easy and familiar to John Deere dealers.  The John Deere approved components are designed to mount to the various size crawlers John Deere sells.  “John Deere supports Leica Geosystems creating these custom kits, allowing their products to integrate with our equipment,” said Jeffrey Finn, John Deere manager, WorkSight Solutions. “John Deere is fully committed to its open architecture approach and giving customers a choice.”

To order the Leica Geosystems Ready Grade Control Kits dealers use the normal John Deere ordering systems they’re used to. Adding on the Leica Geosystems Ready option is as simple as selecting the corresponding AT number for the model of dozer they are configuring.

"Using the Leica Geosystems Ready Program will save our dealers time, money, and resources," said Guadagnoli, The Leica Geosystems Ready program insures the installation is done to the guidelines Leica specifies, insuring the end result meets up to the strict quality standards both Leica and John Deere have consistently delivered over the years and ensures smooth performance from the first day of operation."
