Carlson Survey 2012 Embedded AutoCAD Version Released

Maysville, Kentucky, U.S.A. — Carlson Survey 2012 Embedded AutoCAD®, Carlson’s feature-rich, intuitive surveying office software with the AutoCAD engine built in, has just been released.

Among the top improvements in the affordable Carlson Survey 2012 Embedded AutoCAD version is increased 3D visualization, new 3D coding in its industry-renowned field-to-finish, and the ability to produce customized, more professional reports.

Carlson Survey 2012 Embedded AutoCAD features more than 100 new and improved routines, most of which are based on user input. This product is in addition to Carlson Survey 2012, a module of the Carlson 2012 office product line, which comes with IntelliCAD® 7.1 built-in, and runs on AutoCAD/Map/Civil3D®, versions 2000 through 2012.

This latest edition in the long line of Carlson Survey together with AutoCAD OEM provided by Autodesk® Inc. that began in 1997 continues the tradition of being made specifically for the needs of surveyors.

“The biggest improvement in Carlson Survey 2012 Embedded AutoCAD is in its 3D aspects,” says David Carlson, V.P. of Development for Carlson Software. “The 3D viewer has updates including showing 3D objects, the symbol library has a collection of 3D trees, vehicles, people and utilities, and field-to-finish has new 3D coding.”

Also, with the interest in Carlson software design software growing around the world, the development team at Carlson has added support for more coordinate systems and for angles in GON format, which were requests from international users. This is combined with added support for Carlson SurvCE CSL and Esri® PRJ projections definitions.

Carlson Survey 2012 can be used along with Carlson SurvCE data collection software for seamless office and field operations for sharing data files, field-to-finish coding and COGO functions by using the identical data and settings files. Carlson Survey 2012 also supports all other major data collectors with data transfer and conversions.

Carlson Survey 2012 Embedded AutoCAD and also Carlson Takeoff R5, a Carlson product designed  for site estimating and data prep that also comes with AutoCAD built in, are available now.
