Sheboygan, Wisconsin, January 4, 2012 – AeroMetric has hired James R. Murray, as vice president of business development, leading AeroMetric’s energy infrastructure solutions team. Murray brings over 30 years of experience to this position, including the development and execution of strategic planning and sales for energy markets.

Murray was most recently vice president of the oil and gas division at Pictometry in New York. In this role he was responsible for a start-up geospatial imaging venture to build an entirely new source of revenue for his company. He pioneered the use of cross platform technology to develop new and effective remote sensing techniques, and completed four major energy corridor projects, including the largest in North America. In addition, he was Pictometry’s director of commercial new business development, enabling his team to achieve record sales for the company.
Prior experience included positions as chief marketing officer for Sapphire Imaging in New York, where he was responsible for strategic and tactical brand development, and international sales of a diverse array of imaging products. Accomplishments included delivering double digit growth in a mature industry.
At the Tiffen Company in New York, he was vice president of marketing. He was also director of marketing of the consumer imaging division for the Eastman Kodak Company in New York and Georgia, managing imaging sales worldwide.
