Sheboygan, Wisconsin, October 17, 2011 – AeroMetric has hired D. Michael Emanuel, Jr., GISP, as a project manager. Emanuel will be involved in working with AeroMetric clients, providing his expertise on a variety of GIS, data management, and IT solution applications.

Emanuel has a undergraduate degree in chemistry and a masters in information systems. He holds certifications as a GIS professional and in project management, and has over 20 years experience in complex geographic information systems consulting. Emanuel is on the technical committee of PODS, a pipeline data standards association, where he is the chair of the administration subcommittee—developing database implementation and procedural documentation.

Prior to joining AeroMetric, Emanuel spent over 20 years at the Michael Baker Corporation, most recently as the technical service manager of their geospatial information technology group in Beaver, Pennsylvania. His responsibilities included oversight of geospatial IT infrastructure, ISO auditing, and the evaluation of emerging software and hardware technologies.
