TECTERRA Funds $6.3-million for Geomatics Growth in Canada

Calgary, April 19, 2011:  TECTERRA Inc. committed over $6.3-million of funds supporting the geomatics technology sector in Canada during the last fiscal year, the company announced today. The sum represents commitments to support commercialization projects, applied research, professional development, training, and the creation of new jobs across the country. 

“We’re proud of the support TECTERRA is providing toward the growth of geomatics in Alberta and across Canada during our first year of operation,” says Dr. Mohamed Abousalem, Chief Executive Officer for TECTERRA. “It’s important to note that this is just the beginning of substantial value TECTERRA will bring to the commercialization of Canadian geomatics technology.”

Following is a summary of the projects and job creation activities that were approved for TECTERRA’s funding support in the 2010/11 fiscal year:
