Ashtech Introduces ProMark 100 Compact GPS & GLONASS Receiver

Versatile GNSS Solution with Exceptional Post-Processing

Nantes, France, September 15th, 2010 – Ashtech® today announced the introduction of the ProMark™ 100, an intuitive and easy-to-use L1 post-processing survey receiver that offers high precision, even in difficult environment. The ProMark 100 features outstanding GPS and GLONASS performance which shortens occupation time and extends productivity, especially in obstructed conditions. ProMark 100 is delivered with brand new Ashtech ProMark Field software as well as the new Ashtech L1 GPS/GLONASS antenna. The extended scalability of the ProMark 100 solution provides another strong differentiator as it allows using ProMark 100 not only for post-processing surveys but also, through easy firmware upgrades, covering eventual RTK or GIS needs.

ProMark 100 survey receiver is part of the new generation of Ashtech GNSS solutions; it complements the well-known ProMark family that currently includes ProMark 3, ProMark3 RTK and ProMark 500 GNSS survey receivers.

Embedded Ashtech BLADE™ technology allows exceptional post-processing performance and short occupation time, making the ProMark 100 a very productive solution to the field crews. Thanks to an optimal GPS and GLONASS signals tracking, advanced multipath mitigation and a very sensitive antenna, ProMark 100 delivers high accuracy and reliability, even in difficult and obstructed environment, such as urban canyon or dense tree canopy. ProMark 100 includes 45 parallel, all-in-view channels for L1 GPS and GLONASS signals tracking. Typical accuracies of the ProMark 100 are from 5 mm + 1 ppm in static post-processing up to 1 cm + 1 ppm in RTK. The on-the-fly RTK initialization time using dual constellations is less than three minutes with a range up to 10 km typical.

ProMark 100 is a compact and lightweight GNSS receiver perfectly suited for all-day-long operations, with extended memory and outstanding battery performance superior to 8 hours with GNSS activated. The receiver comes loaded with the new ProMark Field software and is bundled with comprehensive Ashtech GNSS Solutions office software to post-process the GNSS survey data. Easy-to-use and very intuitive ProMark Field software is designed for simple and trouble-free use of the ProMark 100. It provides all necessary tools for efficient post-processing survey, including raw data recording, rover and base configurations, static or kinematic surveys, or stake out as well as simple RTK jobs and network connection settings. ProMark Field software brings to ProMark 100 users a simple but powerful tool, without any unnecessary or complicated features.

ProMark 100 is offered in standard as an L1 GPS & GLONASS receiver for post-processing surveys, but it can also be purchased as a GPS-only configuration. Each ProMark 100 can be set-up and used either as a base or a rover and is delivered with a professional Ashtech L1 GPS/GLONASS antenna (ASH-660). ProMark 100 is a truly versatile and complete solution, it is built on the state-of the-art Windows Mobile 6.5 based platform and includes extended wireless communications (Bluetooth, GPRS, Wi-Fi) as well as seamless firmware options to Glonass and RTK network solution.
