Englewood, Colo., August 10, 2010: Surrey Satellite Technology US LLC (SST-US) announces the launch of “Surrey Online”—an e-commerce website that handles online sales of SST-US commercial satellites and related products.
Open for online business starting August 10, 2010, Surrey Online sells all of Surrey’s available commercial, off-the-shelf flight subsystems, ranging from single standalone units, such as GPS receivers, X-Band antenna pointing mechanisms, and reaction wheels, to full subsystem suites such as Power Conditioning and Switching systems.
In the near future, Surrey Online will grow to include satellite platforms, payloads, ground station equipment, and related services.
Dr. John Paffett, CEO of SST-US, stated, “Surrey Online enables our U.S. customers to speed up their procurement and meet their mission timescales and is a key initiative in our endeavor to provide rapid and economic access to space. We provide a secure, authenticated service, backed up by phone and email support, to answer any questions our customers want to ask before they click to buy.”
SST-US was recently awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract by NASA for three small satellite platforms. U.S. government agencies are able to procure the SSTL-150, SSTL-300, and SSTL-600 via the NASA Rapid III catalog. Visit http://rsdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/.
