Northrop Grumman Awarded Base Contracts in All Categories of TASER

Responding to NGA’s Most Pressing Geospatial Intelligence Systems Requirements

Reston, Va. – April 5, 2010 – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has been named one of four recipients to receive contracts in all areas of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s (NGA) Total Application Services for Enterprise Requirements (TASER) program, providing timely and innovation solutions to critical geospatial intelligence requirements.

The TASER program has an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract structure with a ceiling of $1 billion over five years.

"With the recent award of TASER, NGA is embarking on a new approach to contracting and will have unprecedented access to a depth and breadth of innovative solutions not seen in years," said John Olesak, vice president of integrated intelligence for Northrop Grumman Information Systems. "These new capabilities will dramatically improve the speed and agility with which NGA can access services and expertise from their industry partners supporting the geospatial intelligence needs of the warfighter."

The TASER program consists of four functional categories: studies, pilots and prototypes, integration and deployment, and application sustainment which support customers across NGA. Northrop Grumman was one of four companies awarded a base contract for all four functional categories, demonstrating the full spectrum of geospatial intelligence solutions the company provides.

"The TASER contract allows NGA to quickly acquire support through individual task orders," said Olesak. "Northrop Grumman’s award of all functional categories of the TASER program is a testament to our company’s experience in delivering the right product or service to our customers and our agility in meeting their ever changing needs."

Work on the contract will be performed primarily in the Washington, D.C. region as well as various locations throughout the world.
