New Providence, Bahamas – February 19th, 2010 – International Land Systems (ILS), Inc. has donated its property management system – DSS to the Anglican Diocese of The Bahamas and The Turks and Caicos Islands to help it manage its real estate holdings.
The Diocese’s Property Register contains information related to its churches and other buildings, such as property location, description, value, and historic details, and is used to manage the Diocese’s land holdings.
By scanning and indexing property documents into a robust and secure property management system, the Diocese will now be able to better manage and maintain its properties saving time and money.
ILS’s DSS is designed to manage the scanning, indexing, reporting and querying of real property documents. As a scalable software product, DSS manages from one or two documents per day to more than 7,000 documents daily, and features full text search capabilities which provide valuable information extraction capabilities from documents scanned into the system. DSS also has the ability to version documents, important as real property documents in the Diocese are regularly updated or amended. DSS has the ability to link all documents with a GIS providing a full spatial component to the information. The Diocese is looking at adding GIS capabilities in a possible later phase.
