Championsgate, Fla. – Aug. 20, 2009 — Florida’s Commissioner of Agriculture will speak Friday, August 21, at the annual conference of the Florida Surveying and Mapping Society (FSMS).
From licensing to consumer issues, starting Oct. 1 Florida’s surveyors and mappers will be regulated by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
Commissioner Charles H. Bronson will address the attendees and answer questions about the change at the 54th Annual FSMS Conference at the Omni Resort Orlando ChampionsGate, 1500 Masters Blvd., ChampionsGate, FL 33896.
The conference also includes a trade show with vendors showcasing technology for global positioning systems, hydrological surveying, photomapping and more.
“I am pleased to be able to personally speak with the Florida Surveyors and Mappers about the change for their profession and how it will help them connect with consumers,” Commissioner Bronson said.
