Newly Certified GISPs Announced by Merrick & Company

Aurora, CO – May 5, 2009 – Merrick & Company (www.merrick.com) is pleased to announce the certification of seven individuals as Geographic Information Systems Professionals (GISP).  The certification is provided by the Geographic Certification Institute, a professional organization that establishes professional practice standards and competencies and certifies individuals in ethical conduct and professional practice.  Applicants must meet certain standards in educational achievement, professional experience, and contributions to the profession in order to be certified.

The individuals now certified in Merrick’s Aurora, Colorado office include Sergio Aguayo, photogrammetrist, Matthew Bethel, manager of systems engineering, Carol Spear, senior photogrammetrist, Mark Stucky, senior GIS analyst, and Roger Hanson, director of geospatial operations.  The individuals certified in Merrick’s Colorado Springs office include Deborah Barnes, senior GIS analyst, and Janina Barnes, GIS specialist.
