Juniper Systems’ President Rob Campbell to Present Keynote Address at the Carlson Users Conference

Maysville, Ky., U.S.A. (March 10, 2009) – Robert H. (Rob) Campbell, president and CEO of Juniper Systems, Inc., knows this is a decision-making time for many in the land development industry. At Carlson Software’s “Break New Ground” User Conference, being held in Lexington, Ky., April 5 through 7, Campbell will be addressing one of the most important decisions companies have to make: choosing the right tools to efficiently get the job done.

“The partnership between Carlson and Juniper is designed to meet the industry’s needs for effective software combined with rugged field computer hardware,” said Campbell (right), who has been involved in the business of designing, building, and selling rugged field computers for more than 15 years. “Like Carlson Software, Juniper Systems focuses on quality and providing excellent support to our customers.”

Campbell will be joining Brent Jones, PE, PLS, of ESRI, as a keynote speaker at Carlson’s 2nd annual conference designed specifically for surveyors, civil engineers, mining engineers, construction engineers, partner manufacturers, and dealers. Campbell will discuss what goes into the design and manufacture of a Juniper Systems product, and point out the especially superior attributes of the ruggedized Carlson Surveyor and Surveyor+.

“We are proud to work with Juniper because we believe that the industry needs the best hardware together with the best application software focused on ease-of-use and powerful feature sets,” said Bruce Carlson, president and founder of Carlson Software.

The goal of the 2009 event is to help users “break new ground” and learn how to optimize the power of Carlson’s versatile software. Learning tracks at this two-and-a-half-day event will cover the same land development aspects as Carlson Software products: data collection, land surveying, civil engineering, mining and construction and machine control. Classes include the opportunity to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs). In addition, hands-on labs will be held and many of the classes will be split into beginner and advanced.
