Mark A. Yeager Named PLSO Surveyor of the Year

January 26, 2009 – Mark A. Yeager, P.S., Director of Surveying Services at KS Associates, has been named "PLSO Member of the Year" by the Professional Land Surveyors of Ohio. The award recognizes Mark’s professional achievements, leadership and dedication to PLSO’s mission of promoting the advancement of surveying as a profession.

Mark has been active in PLSO since 1979 when he was a surveying student at Muskingum Technical College in Ohio. Throughout his 30-year affiliation with PLSO, Mark has held several leadership positions including Past Treasurer and Past President of the Cleveland Chapter Executive Committee. He also served on the 2004 PLSO Conference Committee as the Finance Chair and was Master of Ceremonies at the annual banquet.

Throughout his career at KS Associates, Mark has directed several large-scale, complex surveying projects including the Euclid Corridor Transportation Project, Cleveland Hopkins International Airport Expansion, Cleveland Lakefront State Parks Boundary Survey, Akron METRO Rail Corridors and the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport in Puerto Rico.

Under Mark’s leadership, KS Associates has been recognized for its excellent safety record. In addition, the company won the first ever "Highlights in Surveying Contest" sponsored by POB Magazine, and in 2005 Mark was named "Surveyor of the Year" by the PLSO Cleveland Chapter.
