Norcross, GA — ERDAS announces its participation in the GEOINT 2008 Symposium, October 27-30, 2008 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. ERDAS and Oracle will be co-hosting the Welcome Reception, in the plaza between the Grand Ole Opry and the Grand Ole Opry Museum, from 7-9 p.m. on October 27.
Exhibiting in booth #942, ERDAS is featuring the recently announced ERDAS APOLLO 2009, and the latest releases of ERDAS IMAGINE, LPS and ERDAS TITAN. ERDAS and SGI will also be showcasing the main server, a SGI® Altix® XE 240 system, from Empire Challenge 2008 at GEOINT. This server hosted indexed metadata for various data stores of imagery, serving data via Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) services.
“GEOINT is a unique conference, providing a platform for discussing geospatial intelligence collaboration and integration to support the national security mission,” said Christopher Tucker, Senior Vice President, Americas and National Programs, ERDAS. “We are excited to highlight the main server from Empire Challenge, and the latest innovations in our desktop products, as well as our enterprise and data sharing solutions.”
ERDAS APOLLO 2009 is a Geospatial Business System that eliminates the walls between GIS, photogrammetry and remote sensing, extending geospatial data to business applications throughout an organization. ERDAS APOLLO solves the business problems associated with managing and serving large volumes of geospatial data located and distributed across an organization. An alternative to existing market solutions, ERDAS APOLLO simplifies the utilization of vector, raster and terrain data. Supporting numerous geospatial data formats, ERDAS APOLLO seamlessly integrates with existing GIS environments and business applications. ERDAS APOLLO leverages existing business systems, including the Oracle database for persisting intelligent metadata and application specific information.
ERDAS IMAGINE and LPS are the industry’s leading and most complete collection of software tools designed to manipulate, process and understand imagery and streamline numerous photogrammetry processes. ERDAS TITAN 2009 is a data sharing tool for publishing, searching and retrieving geospatial information across organizations and end users.
The fifth annual GEOINT Symposium is the Nation’s Premier Intelligence Event. Each year, more than 3,000 attendees visit GEOINT to discover cutting-edge geospatial intelligence technologies, converse with top leaders in the intelligence community, learn from academia, and network with government, industry, academic, and military leaders. This year, GEOINT’s theme is “Mission Focused while Transitioning to the Future.”
