Bethesda, Md.- The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) today announced a major Washington, D.C.-area recruiting initiative to bring in both entry and higher-level analysts and scientists, as well as numerous other support specialists.
These positions support humanitarian efforts and national security and contribute to the ongoing war on terrorism, both home and abroad. Applicants must be able to acquire a security clearance and be U.S. citizens to apply. Once employed applicants will be eligible for the full range of federal benefits.
Most positions require a bachelor’s degree or higher in a wide variety of specialties. Today’s applicants will move with NGA to its new campus under construction at the Engineer Proving Ground in Springfield, Va., scheduled for completion by September 2011.
Targeted positions include:
• aeronautical analysts – geodetic earth scientists
• geospatial intelligence analysts – imagery intelligence analysts
• marine analysts – nautical cartographic analysts
• source strategies analysts – cartography
• regional analysts – imagery and geospatial sciences
NGA is also hiring in the areas of accounting, administration,
contracts, finance, human resource, security and Web engineer.
