Jacksonville, Fla. (August 7, 2008) Shari Schurr, the marketing director for Jacksonville-based survey and mapping firm Clary & Associations, was one of seven Jacksonville members of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) who recently passed the Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) Exam – a voluntary certification designed to elevate the professional standards in marketing and influence the future of the field.
From May through July, marketing professionals who received the CPSM designation also included:

“All seven of us who took the exam passed, so that’s a rock solid success,” said Tabitha Collins, the past president of the SMPS North Florida Chapter. “We all worked hard as a team to prepare and it paid off. This level of success proves that we have some high quality marketers in the architectural, engineering and construction industry in Jacksonville.”
Candidates are tested on their knowledge of six domains of their practice: marketing research, marketing plan, client and business development, Statements of Qualifications (SOQ)/proposals, promotional activity, and information-, resource-, and organizational-management.
