ITT and CNY ASPRS Announce 2007 Student of the Year Award Winners

White Plains, NY—June 1, 2007 – ITT Corporation (NYSE:ITT) and the Central New York Region of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (CNY ASPRS) today announced the two winners of the 2007 Student of the Year Award. The undergraduate and graduate winners are Joshua Sisskind, a Broadcast Meteorology and Geography major at the University of Albany, and Stephen R. Lach, a PhD student in Imaging Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology, respectively.

The awards will be formally presented by members of ITT and CNY ASPRS during the June 1st CNY ASPRS Annual Spring Meeting at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse, NY.

Each year, the CNY Region of the ASPRS sponsors a Student of the Year Award for students matriculated in Upstate New York, Vermont and North Central Pennsylvania. This year, thanks to generous funding from ITT, two discrete winners received full honors, a first in the history of the award.

“The Student of the Year Award is an essential encouragement and commendation for students interested in photogrammetry, remote sensing, and geographic information systems,” said Chris Young, president and general manager of ITT Space Systems Division.

Information about the award is distributed early in the year, and applications are due midway through the Spring semester. In addition to a $2,000 check, each winner receives a one-year ASPRS membership and certificate.
