Clary & Associates Shows Appreciation for U.S. Military at Home and Abroad

Jacksonville, FL — September 11, 2006 — While thousands of United States military members are serving in the Armed Forces, and stationed away from home for extended tours of duty, even the smallest gesture of support can have a huge impact on morale. With several active, reserve and retired military members in its employ, Clary & Associates is showing its appreciation for American service personnel through a company-wide care package initiative, as well as a Military Appreciation Luncheon.

In a show of support for U.S. military members stationed abroad, the employees and staff of Clary & Associates are participating in a yearlong care package program to benefit approximately 120 Americans stationed in Afghanistan. In response to deployed local Watson Realtor Jon Singleton’s “wish list,” recently published in the August issue of Realty-Builder Connection, the company has begun a collection of much-needed items that will be shipped to Singleton and his fellow soldiers each month for one year.

“It’s important for us to take time out of our busy lives to show our appreciation for the numerous sacrifices our service personnel have made and continue to make on our collective behalf,” said Greg Clary, founder and president of Clary & Associates. “We, as well as our private and government sector clients, benefit daily from the stellar technical training and close camaraderie our military employees bring to the company. We look forward to lending our support in any way we can, as well as continuing to be a practical employment option for our returning service personnel.”

In addition to monthly care packages, Clary & Associates plans to show appreciation for its own military members by hosting a Military Appreciation Luncheon slated for late October. The event will recognize the company’s current and former service personnel, such as Sergeant Josh Mabry, now a Clary & Associates crew chief.

“I’m honored to work for such a civic-minded company,” said Josh Mabry, crew chief for Clary & Associates. “We take an active interest in a wide variety of worthwhile causes. Regardless of anyone’s political position, there’s something for everyone to support. It’s never about politics with us, it’s about giving back and lending support in any way we can. It’s an effort of which we can be proud, and of which such organizations can appreciate.”

Having served four years in the U.S. Army, Mabry was the Reconnaissance Selection Occupation of Position Team Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (RSOP NCOIC) and the NCOIC of the Missile Storage Area. Mabry’s tours of duty included Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Southwest Asia. He earned a good conduct medal, four army achievement medals, and numerous army coins from Lieutenant Colonels to Four Star Generals.
