A Look Back at Dimensions 2005
“Value is created by the integration and connection of multiple technologies. One product isn’t enough.” With that statement, Steven W. Berglund opened Dimensions 2005, Trimble’s first user conference after a six year hiatus. Dimensions 2005 demonstrated Trimble’s strength in the engineering and construction industry with more than 1,300 registered attendees from over 50 countries. The conference theme, Move Your Business Forward, focused on applying technology to the needs faced daily by surveying, construction and civil engineering professionals.

According to attendees, Trimble Dimensions 2005 was met with success:

“This was a professionally organized and very well presented event with sometimes a choice of more than 12 tracks, top quality papers and presentations, inspirational keynotes and plenty of opportunity to discuss and share practice,” said Stephen Booth, editor of Geomatics World in the UK commenting on Trimble Dimensions 2005.

"What a great conference—best conference ever. We attended some very knowledgeable sessions about many new applications and new techniques. Trimble did a great job of setting this conference up and getting everyone together for networking and sharing of stories,” said Jack W. Kuttrus, Professional Surveyor with Woolpert, Inc., of the U.S.

“Dimensions was an extremely well run conference and it was very beneficial to learn about the latest technology from the Trimble staff as well as techniques and applications used by peers in the industry,” said Kevin MacLeod, Professional Engineer with Stantec Geomatics Ltd. of Canada.
