Schoder Project Marketing to Promote GIS in the Rockies Conference

April 7, 2006 – Denver, Colorado USA – Tamara Schoder of Schoder Project Marketing has been contracted to promote the 2006 GIS in the Rockies Conference. In her role as 2006 conference promotional coordinator, she will be responsible for exhibitor relations, sponsorships, and public relations for the event.

In accepting the position, Ms. Schoder replaces long-time promotional coordinator, Tina Cary of Cary and Associates. The 2006 GIS in the Rockies Program Committee wishes to recognize the hard work and years of dedicated service that Ms. Cary has provided to the GIS in the Rockies Conference. “Over the years, the GIS in the Rockies Conference has been synonymous with Tina and her efforts to grow and expand the event. While we welcome fresh ideas and creative input from Tamara Schoder, we will also miss working with Tina,” said Mike Greer, Chair of the GIS in the Rockies Planning Committee.

The 2006 GIS in the Rockies Conference will be held September 13–14, 2006 at INVESCO Field at Mile High, with additional offsite field visits in the Denver metro area on September 15th. It will feature an array of user case studies, technical sessions, and vendor presentations through a series of organized tracks.

This year’s theme – “GIS: From Behind the Scene to Extreme” – illustrates the emergence of GIS as not only a mainstream technology, but also one that has gone well beyond a backroom technology used by scientists and mapmakers.

Exhibitor materials will be available online April 14, 2006 at http://gisintherockies.org/Exhibitors.html.
For additional information on exhibiting at the conference, please contact Tamara Schoder at vendors@gisintherockies.org.
