New release runs on TDS Ranger X-Series handheld, plus PDAs with Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition or Windows Mobile 5.0 software
CORVALLIS, Ore.—March 14, 2006—Tripod Data Systems (TDS) today released SOLO Field™ 3.5. This latest update of TDS’ popular GIS mapping software can run on the TDS Ranger™ X-Series rugged handheld computer as well as PDAs with Windows Mobile® 2003 Second Edition or Windows Mobile 5.0 software. Other major enhancements include a Grid Generation function, support for high-precision, real-time GPS receivers, and support for continuously updated attributes while logging by interval.
“It’s important to our users that we support the latest hardware and software platforms,” said Matt Lehman, natural resources sales manager. “As with previous updates to SOLO Field, we’ve incorporated suggestions from real-world users to add new capabilities and improve existing functions.”

SOLO Field 3.5 is a free upgrade from SOLO Field 3.x. Registered users of SOLO Field 3.x can download upgrades from www.tdsway.com/solo3.5 (registration required).
