Pocket Quads VGA is sophisticated Topo Map viewing software for the Pocket PC. Pocket Quads VGA offers 4 times the viewing area on the same 240×320 screen. A typical Pocket PC displays images at 96 dpi on a 240×320 pixel screen. Pocket Quads VGA takes advantage of new technology found on the latest Pocket PC’s. This new technology consists of Hi-Resolution screens capable of displaying 192 dpi, allowing the user to view images at Full VGA (480×640 pixels). A Pocket PC with Windows Mobile 2003SE (Second Edition) and VGA capability is required.
Pocket Quads VGA is software for the Pocket PC that allows the user to view digital topo maps on their Pocket PC, and offers the most advanced auto map-loading capabilities in the industry. Pocket Quads VGA auto-loads, auto-centers, and auto-tracks topo maps, in real time, based on the current GPS position (GPS receiver not included). Rather than downloading portions of maps from a PC, or a narrow route from point A to point B, Pocket Quads VGA allows the user to store hundreds of FULL SIZE digital topo maps on a single Flash (CF or SD) Card, and loads them automatically, as needed.
Pocket Quads VGA software allows the user to switch between the 1:24,000, 1:100,000, and 1:250,000 scale maps "on the fly". The software also offers pan, zoom, import, export, and storing of points, annotations, and lines to a job file, and point navigation (stakeout). Pocket Quads VGA supports all NAD83 State Plane and UTM Coordinate zones.
With 4 times the viewing area of other Topo Map software, Pocket Quads VGA is perfectly suited for searching for Section Corners and other monumentation. Pocket Quads VGA is available with the powerful Prosurv Imaging software for the PC. Prosurv Imaging allows the user to scan, rotate, and geo-reference any map or image and offers dual image capability. Prosurv Imaging’s tools include NGS Datasheet point creation. Prosurv Imaging is also used for processing maps and images for use with Pocket Quads VGA.
