DigitalGlobe Provides High-Resolution Satellite Imagery to Marathon Oil Company

Enterprise Partner Program Streamlines Company-Wide Data Access

Longmont, Colo., April 27, 2005 – DigitalGlobe®, the world’s leading provider of high-resolution commercial satellite imagery and geospatial information products, today announced that Marathon Oil Company has joined DigitalGlobe’s Enterprise Partner Program, a mechanism that streamlines access to geospatial products, and provides quick and easy data viewing and ordering in a desktop environment.

The Enterprise Partner Program, launched in September 2004, offers a centralized geospatial solution for global organizations with multiple offices or procurement centers and employees of varied software skill levels. Program partners pay an annual fee for a bulk amount of imagery from DigitalGlobe’s ImageLibrary and future imagery acquisitions. Images are delivered in multiple formats, permitting image sharing within separate divisions of an organization.

“Marathon has seen an increased demand for high-resolution satellite imagery to address exploration, facilities planning, and health, environment, and safety issues,” said Tim Tipton, general manager of Technology Services for Marathon Oil Company. “Efficient access to this data provides a rich information resource to enable more informed decisions.”

“Our Enterprise Partner Program is designed to alleviate the issues that can arise when delivering data to large companies,” said David Nale, DigitalGlobe’s senior vice president of commercial markets. “Our comprehensive package addresses the diverse needs of all users within large organizations and eradicates inefficiencies that can impede comprehensive, company-wide access to critical geospatial information.”
